Undergraduate Experience

Here I will showcase my project and club experience that I gained while completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon.

Media and Social action ARC

The Media and Social Action Academic Residential Community was a collection of 25-50 first-year students who all shared an interest in learning more about the role of social media and its impact on social justice issues. In the community, I had the opportunity to co-host and produce a social justice podcast. We produced one season of Souls Tell Stories, and the focus was LGBTQ+ rights and issues. This season features a variety of guest who share stories about struggles to find acceptance within their communities and also provides resources for those who might be in similar situations.

I also had the chance during my sophomore- senior years to stay involved with the community and serve as a teaching assistant for the new cohort.

Align Magazine

Align Magazine is a student-run fashion, lifestyle, and pop culture magazine at the University of Oregon. With Align, I worked as a Playlist Connoisseur. In this role, I create monthly themed playlists and also create playlists paired with editorial pieces to allow readers to engage in an auditory experience while reading to tell a larger story.

Duck Dance Marathon

Duck Dance Marathon is a campus fundraising branch of the Dance Marathon started at Indiana University. DDM works directly with the Children's Miracle network to fundraise and spread awareness about childhood cancer and the research being conducted around it. We annually raised ~13,000 just at our campus through in-person fundraisers and digital donation messages. I held both the public relations chair and internal director positions.
